The European Union Film Festival—India (EUFF) is an annual event organised by the EU Delegation to India along with Member States. The film festival brings the finest and the biggest curation of European cinema, and in 2025, EUFF celebrates 30 remarkable years in India, marking three decades of cinematic dialogue that connects cultures, inspires conversations, and brings Europe’s diverse stories to Indian audiences.
The 30th edition of the festival explores themes of migration, identity, love, defiance, hope and more. While deeply rooted in European culture and society, each story resonates universally, reflecting themes that spark conversations across the world today. Featuring 28 award-winning films from across EU countries in 29 languages, the festival offers a ‘Window to Europe’. The curation transcends borders and generations and offers Indian audiences a rare opportunity to experience these captivating films on the big screen, fostering empathy and shared cultural understanding.
At #EUFF2025, audiences will have the unique opportunity to engage with European filmmakers and talents attending the festival. Over three decades, EUFF has become a must-visit destination for cinephiles eager to experience the finest in European cinema. This year, the festival goes beyond Delhi, with exciting new chapters in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. We can’t wait to welcome you to the 30th edition of the European Union Film Festival!

Organised in Team Europe spirit by the EU Delegation to India in collaboration with EU member countries, the festival celebrates the richness and diversity of European cinema. With a line-up of 26 contemporary films from EU countries and Ukraine, the festival presents a bouquet of specially curated films that have earned recognition at prestigious international film festivals including Cannes, Academy Awards, Venice Film Festival, Locarno Film Festival, IFFI, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival among others.
This year’s curation shines a light on themes that resonate deeply with our contemporary lives, where intricate human relationships take centerstage, shedding a light on the power of sisterhood, journeys of self-discovery, and the exploration of modern-day challenges. Spanning a variety of genres, this rich cinematic experience will travel beyond Delhi to Kolkata and Hyderabad this year, offering a vibrant tapestry of European cinema to the Indian audiences.
Over the years, Indo-European collaborations have produced some of the most acclaimed films on the global stage. This year stands out with several Indo-European co-productions having earned international recognition, including All We Imagine As Light, the Grand Prix winner at Festival de Cannes, along with other remarkable titles like Santosh and Girls Will Be Girls. This has not only helped grow the cooperation between the two creative industries but has also brought India and Europe closer through films in a globalising world.
