Young Dimitris, on the verge of manhood yet very much a child, has romanticised his absent father to mythic proportions. When his father is finally released from prison, Dimitris’ dream of family happiness are more lucid than ever, yet immediately transformed. In the need to make all his fantasies come true, he’s confronted with the violence they enclose.

The almighty and all-knowing Jesus Christ (33), an auntie Anka (57), and a curious hog Beba (2) are on a road trip through the rolling hills of the Croatian region of Zagorje during the 1990s war. What follows is the first love between pigs at the moment of an air-raid and the malfunction of a hood at a hairdresser’s midstyling, a wedding, a patron saint day of the church, playful songs, cheese, cream and a happy ending.

The former front man of the once-loved rock band ‘Zhiguli’, Fory, cannot pay the tuition fees for his talented daughter at the Royal Academy of Music in London. A wealthy loyal fan of Fory offers him a hefty paycheck, if his favourite band from his youth ‘Zhiguli’ plays at his 50th anniversary. This offer motivates Fory to bring back the band that fell apart 30 years ago. He discovers that none of the members live their dreamy lives. During their rehearsal, they try to resolve old love tensions and conflicts, making new blunders along the way.

Seven-year-old Nora and her big brother Abel are back to school. When Nora witnesses Abel being bullied by other kids, she rushes to protect him by warning their father. But Abel forces her to remain silent. Caught in a conflict of loyalty, Nora will ultimately try to find her place, torn between children’s and adult’s worlds.

The ambitious middle school teacher Hannes Fuchs (39) is assigned to a prison school alongside the older prison schoolteacher Elisabeth Berger (60) whose unconventional methods keep her inmate students busy and on their toes. For Weber (54), the department commander of the juvenile detention wing, Berger is a security risk. Fuchs is eager to prove himself a suitable prison teacher, but soon realizes that Berger won’t let anyone get too close. While Weber tries to pit both teachers against each other, Berger slowly makes Fuchs her accomplice. When Fuchs instructs the inmates alone for the first time, what follows is a confrontation between him and the class.
