Luzzu

Jesmark Saliba, a Maltese fisherman, inherited his luzzu (boat) from his father. This boat has seen three generations of his family grow up. But now, as Jesmark daubs his own infant son’s soles with paint to continue the tradition, he knows deep down that time is running out for this way of life. He risks everything to provide for his wife and new-born son by entering Malta’s black-market fishing industry.
