A burned out soap opera writer turns his gaze upon his dysfunctional neighbours, but gets more than the inspiration he bargained for…
Costas, an uninspired soap opera writer struggling with writer’s block, is under pressure by his producer to deliver new episodes. Having just moved in to a flat in an old apartment building, his attention is caught by his mysterious neighbours. Soon enough he finds himself spying on them, transforming their everyday tragic encounters into a light hearted soap opera, romanticising what he witnesses for the consumption of a mass audience. As the success of the soap opera grows, so does Costas’ obsession with the family, particularly with Chryso, a young woman who frequently runs away from the family home.
